The medicinal properties of the herbs from which my essential oil Blends are produced are formulated on the principals of traditional Chinese medicine. Many essential oils have broad anti viral, anti bacterial and anti fungal effects based on their chemical components. In response to the current coronavirus, I have created a range of PROTECT + DEFEND Therapeutic Blends to be worn under your masK, ENVIRONMENTAL Blends for use in diffusers as well as disinfecting room & hand sanitizers. I have also ENHANCED versions of my UNDER THE WEATHER Therapeutic Blends.

Essential Oils have been used throughout history for reverence in ritual, beauty enhancement and medicinally. As the principle healers of the time, Chinese monks were among the ancients who not only cultivated knowledge of the healing properties of plants but elevated their use to the treatment of illnesses that we still use to this day. An essential oil is a concentrated complex liquid distilled from whole plants, roots, flowers, leaves, stems, and seeds which emits a characteristic aroma and contains medicinal compounds that allow a plant to thrive, adapt, and evolve. Essential oils are the living energy of nature and "essential" in the sense that each carries distinctive properties unique to the essence of the plant which then resonate and affect various aspects of human nature. 

Essential oils have a vast array of benefits which makes them much more than simply smell good. They are commonly used in household compounds and personal care products. Medical applications of essential oils include aromatic diffusions for psycho-emotional balance, topically for skin treatments, respiratory illnesses, hormonal balance, and remedies to ease pain and the challenges of chronic disease. Only the highest grade medicinal quality essential oils may be taken internally under the supervision of a qualified professional. All of my Blends are prepared according to the principles of Chinese Medicine and are designed with specific therapeutic goals. While all of my Blends are designed to care for the whole person, some are targeted more specifically to address physical issues while others address mental/emotional aspects and others support your spirit. I prepare custom blends for use in bodywork, topical treatments, safe pediatric care and as supplemental therapy to extend acupuncture treatment between sessions.

All of my essential oil blends are created to work, not just to smell nice. Though they definitely do smell wonderful! My Therapeutic Blends are rooted in the therapeutic properties of each of the essential oils to be highly effective and the resulting aroma is balanced. Whether you fully enjoy the aroma or perhaps there is something in the aroma of a Therapeutic Blends that is a bit provoking, understand this is also part of the therapeutic process. In other words, it’s not only about the aroma. When there is pain, be it physical, emotional or spiritual, this is a faithful sign that something is not moving. It may, for example, be the moving energetic properties of a Blend which provokes in a way that at first you may not fully appreciate. Many aromatherapists agree that we tend to gravitate to the aromas that we need, not just like. Two people can smell the same blend and have very different reactions because we are unique individuals. Also, you might smell a blend today and love it, then smell the same blend tomorrow and it smells completely different. This is the wonderful nature of it!
